Why Choose Harrison Training

Harrison Training has an established record of providing high quality training (particularly occupational therapy) into various healthcare settings. Although incorporated in 2007, it is the result of several reputable training businesses combining their resources. Together the experience we can offer spans almost 20 years.

We are pleased to offer the broadest range of training and CPD opportunities in the field and reduce the need for clients to go to multiple agencies to meet their training and development needs. We continue to be responsive and flexible to meet additional professional requirements.

We are proud to be chosen consultants for a wide range of projects and acknowledged as able to deliver these to specification and within time.

We are glad to draw on the best available expertise, from a network of Associates who are specialists in their field, and who are actively involved in ensuring course content reflects the latest in evidence based practice.

Company History

Formerly as Harrison Associates, providing professional practice, management development, and training in aspects of medical-legal work, the company acquired a business to focus on aspects of neurological rehabilitation. Additionally, both directors of Harrison Associates had been instrumental in introducing and establishing the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) for occupational therapists in the UK and established a wide network of users - both clinically and in research. Merging the AMPS UK business with Harrison Associates was a natural next step to make cost effective use of resources and to provide a greater range of services to the client base.

A company restructuring of Harrison Associates established Harrison Training as a separate entity. This enabled additional resources to be dedicated to extending the range of services to meet the needs of professionals within a rapidly changing health and social care environment.

Charitable Activity

Part of our Company vision is to support those who are disabled and have limited access to healthcare resources, economic independence, and choices in their lives and occupations. We have found that these people, particularly in developing countries, also tend to be poor, disadvantaged, and marginalised within their communities.

We believe that we reap what we sow. To reflect something of our values, beliefs and purpose, we are committed to giving of our time, skills, knowledge, and profit, to benefit those who have less, particularly where disability is an issue.

Harrison Training has partners in Romania and Tanzania, with whom we collaborate, to provide practical and tangible support that impacts the daily lives of individuals affected by disability, and their caregivers.
