Our consultants (Associates)
Highly experienced Associates work to an agreed project brief but will advise when change is necessary. They provide and independent and objective view of a service within its organisational and political context. Each Associate is supervised to ensure ongoing accountability.
Examples of work undertaken
- A partnership approach with OLM Consulting to enable the introduction of an Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) for a London Borough & PCT, including a Section 31 Agreement
- Provision of Action Learning Networks for Integrated Occupational Therapy Services, and for Rural Services, on behalf of the Integrated Care Network, Dept of Health
- Interim management of an occupational therapy service in an Acute Trust setting
- A review of a paediatric occupational therapy service for a Primary Care Trust
- A review and audit of a Community Equipment Service, jointly commissioned by the local Health and Social Services
- An education and training Consortium funded project to provide NHS and SSD staff with opportunities for both collaborative learning and exploration of joint working models
- Planning and facilitation of a series of national conferences to stimulate awareness of the Intermediate Care Agenda, (part of the NSF for older people) commissioned by the College of Occupational Therapists
- Provision of an interim senior manager to a Local Authority Social Services Department resulting in a Borough Recognition Award to the Community Disability Team
- Market research project (using focus groups) for an equipment manufacturer related to bathing equipment for disabled children
- Management of a project to present options for the integration of a community paediatric occupational therapy service in the South West
All of this work was based on a contract with clients. To achieve the agreed outcomes, a variety of methods of delivery, project management and supervision were used.
