Supervision and mentoring

Increasingly popular, this service is particularly suitable for those:

• Working in professional isolation
• New to an area of practice
• Taking on a new management or professional position
• Experiencing a lack of managerial or professional support is available

It can be provided as a one-off session, or on an ongoing basis with regular reviews, either face-to-face (where practical and cost effective to do this) or via telephone and electronic mail.

Examples of work

• Supervision of senior OT staff at a Hospice – each has an individual supervision session and then a joint session to develop team goals.
• Monthly supervision for a Head OT of a London hospital who is professionally isolated
• Career advice and mentoring – a few sessions for an individual looking to review their career pathway within the public and independent sector. Involved an action plan and aspects such as CV writing, career anchors, portfolio development
• Supervision for a Head OT and team within a mental health service setting  - meetings bi monthly consisting of an individual session for the Head and then a team session
