Susanna Robinson MPhil DipCOT Occupational Therapist


Susanna was formerly joint owner and Director of Harrison Associates, a leading occupational therapy consultancy providing a range of services to both the private and public sectors. She had particular responsibility for Training and Education services and project management and following a company restructuring, established Harrison Training to focus more exclusively on these business areas.

After qualifying as an occupational therapist (OT) in 1987, Susanna had a range of experience in physical medicine before taking up a research post in care of older adults with mental health problems. She was one of the first occupational therapists to work within a memory clinic setting, and also obtained an MPhil from the University of Bath for her work on the relationship between cognition and functional capacity in people with dementia.

Through the use of the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) as a research tool, Susanna became an international and national teacher of the AMPS, facilitating its integration into OT practice in many countries, as well as coordinating its development within the UK. She established AMPS (UK) Ltd and with a team, saw the tool become widely recognised and accepted across OT practice in the UK. She has been in independent practice since 1995 and is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists section of OT's in Independent Practice, recently a committee member. Susanna continues to teach, and occasionally carries out assessments on service users, but is mostly involved in managing Harrison Training.

Ross Evans

Business Manager

Ross has worked for Harrison Training (formerly as part of Harrison Associates) since 2004, and has had responsibilities ranging from office manager for the education and training section of the company, through to business manager with specific responsibility for finance. He currently manages the operational and financial aspects of Harrison Training, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business. He also contributes to the sales and marketing activity, advises clients on suitable services, and supports the delivery of training both administratively and for the Associates.

His career experience has been in sales and business development within different commercial sectors, including as European business manager within the automotive industry. He more recently qualified as a financial advisor and developed a portfolio of clients to whom he offered a range of financial products and services. As Trustee to a number of charitable trusts, Ross has a good understanding of organisational structures and issues, and contributes this knowledge as a member of the management team.

Jane Goodman MPhil DipCOT Occupational Therapist

Training Manager

Jane has been Training Manager for Harrison Training (formerly as part of Harrison Associates) since 2005. Her responsibilities include: advising clients on CPD programmes for individuals, Trusts or teams; accreditation of courses; development of new courses and training modules. She also provides mentoring and supervision of clinicians; advice on career pathways and development; and the development of resources, such as the CPD CD ROM.

Jane graduated as an occupational therapist in 1980 and worked extensively in services for people with learning disabilities as a clinician, manager and trainer in both hospital and community settings. She also obtained an MPhil from the Bristol Business School with work on a training strategy for staff in a community learning disabilities team. She was also seconded to the Training Department of an NHS Trust in order to implement training for all Trust staff and some service users in Individual Programme Plans.

Jane was Senior Lecturer on an occupational therapy programme for 10 years and continues to balance this role with that of Training Manager at Harrison Training. She has lectured widely in occupational therapy theory, management, research, learning disabilities and continuing professional development, as well as contributing to various university roles and to development of the revalidated BSc Hons Occupational Therapy Programme.

Martin Davies BA(Hons)


Martin is responsible for the marketing strategy and its implementation for Harrison Training. He has developed the communication strategy for the company as well as the corporate identity. He deals with e-campaigns, sponsorship, website, exhibitions and the production of marketing material. He is a member of the management team and contributes to business strategy.

Martin has gained his expertise with various agencies and consultancies, as account director with clients such as Ford of Europe and Best Foods, before establishing his own Marketing and Design Company. This he continues to balance with his role at Harrison Training.
